What do you dislike about the product?
Support responses can be slow, so I would like you to contact us more frequently. Specifically, the support request is as follows. #546201: A support request was filed because Linux process monitoring could not be performed properly. After providing the evidence requested by support, there has been no contact for five business days. In addition, since the LogicMonitor UI was updated from UIv3 to UIv4, errors caused by LogicMonitor bugs have been occurring frequently, so we would like the quality to be stabilized. Specifically, the support request is as follows: #546766: An error occurred when editing the DataSource used by LM Synthetics, so alert emails cannot be customized until the bug is fixed.
A platform that gets you right into the action
What do you like best about the product?
LM has simplified the data gathering process by bringing you automatic datasources, based on device type, that provide information on the metrics you need. Instead of spending hours building out all the monitors you need, they have it available for you on day 1. Additionally, you can build out custom event sources, property sources or datasources that gather unique data or metrics that you may need for specific devices or device types. Metric graphs/dashboards are easy use, build, clone or share. This platform allows you and your organization to get right into the middle of the action instead spending time hunting for the information you need. Additionally, the LM porfessional services team was fantastic during the initial implementation and the customer support reps continue to support well!
What do you dislike about the product?
The new ui.... it's an adjustment. I understand what they are trying to do, but I don't think it's the right direction. It's too busy and still much slower than the old UI. Additionally, historical alert reporting is difficult when you take into consideration SDT schedules, whether recurring or scheduled once. You cannot get a historical report of ACTIONABLE alerts because it lumps in alerts that "occured" while the device was in SDT. The SDT tag is automatically cleared from an alert once the alert clears, which muddies the water A LOT with downstream reporting. Reporting and this issue could definitely benefit from some improvement initiatives.
